Ok, so it's not really a new hairstyle, but I finally decided I don't care if my work gets pissed or not, and I got lines shaved into the side of my hair. When I originally envisioned this hairstyle, I pictured it with the lines, so I'm glad I finally get it done.
I didn't have my digital camera w/me most of the weekend, so here's a crappy pic I took w/my sidekick. The quality of the picture blows, but you get the idea. ;)
It's going to be a hot, sticky one in Chicago this weekend! There's a bunch of things going on though, so a little humidity isn't keeping me inside! You can catch me at a few of the following places this weekend......

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that would bar users from accessing "social network sites" on public terminals. Sites such as Myspace, Amazon, Slashdot, Digg, Tagworld, and thousands more would be affected.
All I have to say about this is it's total bullshit. This bill reaches far too wide and there are better ways to deal with the problems they claim the bill is intended to stop. Furthermore, the FCC will decide what constitutes an "off-limits" site. The FCC has already ruined radio, and watered down television. A quick look at the guidlines the FCC will use to determine which sites will have restricted access shows this bill could effect thousands of sites that pose no threat to minors.
"In determining the definition of a social networking Web site, the
Commission shall take into consideration the extent to which a Web
site--(i) is offered by a commercial entity;
(ii) permits registered users to create an online profile that includes detailed personal information;
(iii) permits registered users to create an online journal and share such a journal with other users;
(iv) elicits highly personalized information from users; and
(v) enables communication among users."
I'll be keeping an eye out for protest & petition information
against this bill. If the government wants to protect minors, they need
to do it the right way. This bill is not the right way.
Myspace has been seriously fugged up all morning. Nobody can log in and it appears that many accounts have been deleted (although I think the "deleted accounts" aren't actually deleted and that it's related to whatever the problem their having is). Anyone know what's up?
What's your favorite drink or cocktail? What's in it
Question submitted by charm.vox.com
Hands down, my favorite drink is Effen Black Cherry vodka on the rocks with a splash of lime. I drink this stuff like water when I'm out.
The Lomo LC-A camera I ordered earlier this week arrived today. I've never been so excited about owning an outdated, plastic, overpriced item before. Can't wait to play with my new toy!
Guess I need to buy a scanner now so I can scan in pictures I take with this thing. Scanners are so 1995.
What's one thing that you hope to do or accomplish before the end of this year?
Move back downtown & make MORE MONEY!!!
I first discovered the Lomo LC-A camera a few years ago. I was instantly amazed by the unique pictures this little Russian piece of plastic produced. I had to have one. I quickly found out I wasn't the only person instantly drawn to the saturated colors, vignettes, & high-contrast images this little camera produces. By the time I discovered the LC-A, it already had a strong cult following.
In 2005, the Russian factory that made every LC-A announced it could no longer afford to produce this little gem. Every LC-A has 450 parts and was assembled by hand. Luckily, refurbished LC-As are still available today from Lomography.com (a successor to the LC-A is also in the works). I almost bought a LC-A on a couple seperate occaisions, but decided to wait until I had money to burn. But honestly, when do we ever really have money to burn? For me, almost never. And who knows how long the refurbished Lomos will be available. So today, after a couple years of wanting but never buying a LC-A, I finally bought one. I can't wait to get it and Lomo-fied.
